Folliculitis and vaginal discharge

I have Folliculitis around my vagina and i have been on antibiotics the past 3 days, I do feel that the pain has eased a small bit but there seems to be a lot of green sticky discharge oozing out of my vagina and I was wondering is this a good or bad thing???

Do you think that the green oozing was from the folliculitis that turned into an boil or abscess?  If that is the case that will explain why it is scabbing over and the antibiotics are working.

With you saying that the green sticky discharge was oozing from the vagina - now that would need medical investigation.

Yeah i actually think it was from the folliculitis. I was just worrying because i wasnt sure how much longer i would have to put up with the uncomfortable pain...its extremely difficult to get up and move around.

Thank you so much for your help! :)

Having a green sticky discharge oozing out of your vagina is NOT a good thing.

The antibiotic that you have been given for the folliculitis around your vagina will not be the right one to clear the infection in the vagina.

Being on antibiotics can also bring on fungal infections, so you may ask the doctor to prescribe an antifungal medication for you if you get problems with itching in the genital area or get white patches in your mouth.

Make an appointment to see your doctor urgently so that a swab can be taken and sent to the laboratory to identify or confirm the bacteria causing this.
