HELP - Thumbnails Not Growing/ Fungus

About 10 years ago I went to the nail salon and added nail tips to my fingernails. A week later I went back to remove them. Soon after removing the nail tips, I started noticing my nails on my thumbs started to change colors. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed Penlac to treat the nail fungus. After using Penlac for a while I noticed that it was not working for me. After that, I went back to the dermatologist and they did a culture and they said it was a fungus. I have visited several dermatologists over the past few years and they have prescribed many topical creams for the nail and nothing seems to work. Things have gotten worse. I have also tried over-the-counter remedies like tea tree oil and oregano oil. I have been advised to drink the Lamisil pill, but feel hesitant in doing so because of the damage that it may cause to the liver. I have tried the Lamisil cream but it does not work. The nail does grow but it grows very flaky and uneven with bumps. For the past 10 years, I have felt embarrassed and insecure when showing my hands to others or even the simple act of shaking someone else's hands. Please try to help me regain the confidence that I had 10 years ago. Thank you and any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. The link to the images of the nails is attached below.

Best advice:  if it doesn't itch, ignore it.  The treatment for this stuff is worse often than the disease.  If tea tree oil and oregano oil didn't work, and the meds didn't work, it could be they weren't used long enough -- fungus wants to live.  Could be something inside of you has been damaged, such as your intestinal organisms and immune system by using anti-fungals.  You might want to try garlic oil, if you can find a good source of pure garlic oil.  I had success with it for ringworm when those other things either didn't work or only worked temporarily.  For toe and fingernails, you can even soak them in disinfectant, but you want to do your homework on this to know how to do it safely.  Sometimes the drugs docs use make things worse.  And you don't want to damage your liver just for the sake of something nobody really notices that much aside from you.  Hope you find something that works.

Hello, thank you so much for your response. Is there a name-brand garlic oil that you recommend that I should use? How often should I be using the oil to see results (How many times a day/ how many times a week)?
