Head of penis red, shiny, itchy, dry. Very anxious

Hi guys,

I've never had a penis related problem before so am quite anxious. I'm 31 years old and uncircumcised. 2 weeks ago I started seeing a girl and had sex, let's just say it was quite 'vigorous' and afterwards I noticed redness & what appeared to be a small cut under the foreskin. This cleared up after a couple of days and I thought it was just from friction (although it had never happened before). But last week I met her again and afterwards the head felt itchy. I've had that before and it's cleared up quickly but the next day I noticed that almost the entire lower half of the head (where the foreskin naturally sits) was visibly red and itchy, plus the foreskin very tender. Since then I've used Vaseline & canesten (assuming she might've had thrush) to try and soothe the itchiness and redness. Now the red area of the head has turned shiny, dry and a little flaky. The foreskin is also red and still very tender, and strangely seems to not 'fit' over the head as it used to, like there's now too much skin. I tried masturbating a few days ago and could feel the skin causing friction on the head which then made it sore and itchy again. Right now the head is still red and rashy looking and similar under the foreskin. I don't know whether this is simply a friction issue or something more sinister, but I would've expected it to clear up by now if it was simply friction.

I have a photo but can't attach using iOS...

Any help would be great :-\

It almost sounds like it could be a yeast infection yes guys get them as well as woman but man if it uncharted territory wrap it up as a vaginacan be a gruesome area if the female harbor in it is very easy to giving it up  but it could also be a bacteria infection along with a yeast infection definitely get it checked at a Docters or clinic somewhere before it gets any worse

Have you inserted your penis into your girls vagina without a condom? You got something in there. The vagina is full of bacterial and fungal species that the penile skin lacks. You could be sensitive to one of these species or you have caused trauma from friction and then an inflammation followed cos the trauma wasnt addressed properly. Dont use vaseline on your penis. Canesten should be used for at least two week to see if it gets better. Some steroid ( hydrocortisone) cream will for the first 4-5 days of the therapy would help. Avoid sex or masturbation for some time and dont wash it with harsh soaps.
