Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of Jock itch. Jock itch shows up in post-adolescent men and hormonal changes during puberty, lifestyle and heredity each play a role.Predisposing fungal disease like tines cruris may also aggravate it.
Wash your scrotum daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy scrotum. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.
If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist. It has to be differentiated from yeast infections, impetigo and psoriasis which may mimic it.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing.
