I have multiple bumps on my upper lip, anyone know what it is?

For about three days now I've had a lot of pain on my lips, I wasn't sure what it was. I thought the pain was coming from the outside of my lip, but today I realized it was my inner lip. So I flipped it up, and there were about 5 sores. They were red on the inside and a white ring around them. They were bleeding, and I checked not too long ago again, and it's worse. There's about 8 now, they're way bigger and the bleedings worse. And the pain is getting worse by the second. Can't talk, eat or drink very well without it killing me. It's impossible to smile, and hurts bad even when i'm doing nothing. Is this just a canker sore or something else? Should I get it checked out?

Yes, I'd guess these are canker sores.  Herps is usually outside the mouth and not inside like this.  Is it any better?
