Infected Cherry Hemangioma?

I've had my share of normal cherry hemangiomas in various places, but I've always had a pretty large one on my thigh. It had a history of getting cut (by buttons on my jeans, or etc) and it took a while to heal because the wound kept being reopened. Eventually it did heal completely and it was fine for a couple of years.

Recently though, it was injured again. Well not injured so much as some hardened skin (or what felt like a scab?) was accidentally brushed off. Once again it's taking a long time to heal. It hasn't really been bleeding though, mostly oozing (pus, I think?). I've been applying hydrogen peroxide and keeping a bandage on it. The bandage when I replace it always has a surprisingly large amount of pus absorbed into it. The hemangioma itself too seems to be getting larger, but I don't know if it's just inflamed or swollen or if it's ACTUALLY getting bigger. Also, the healthy normal skin around it is starting to get sort of hard and bumpy.

Is this just an infection, or is it a sign of something more serious?

I just want to add that it's been oozing for about a week now, and it's still requiring a bandage (or the risk of ruining my pants). It's starting to concern me a little.
