Infected blackheads on upper inner thighs

I’ve had this for decades- been to 2 dermatologists with little to no relief. The first looked at the skin and said, “ooh, nasty”. Never went back. The second sold me a niacin cream and told me to use 10% benzoyl peroxide in the shower.
When I was younger, the pores/follicles would get so infected they would become boils and carbuncles.
I easily get ingrown hairs, despite exfoliating, and now blackheads are starting to develop lower on my thighs.
I’ve not had a diagnosis, but I think it’s a version of HS. Any ideas?

You could be right. Were these dermatologists that you saw?  Oh yes, you say they are. Well, I'd try doc number three and tell him about your other two experiences.  See if he rises to the challenge to help you.  I agree that it likely could be a version of HS.
