Is this Mole Cancerous??

I have had this mole above my waist my whole life and when I was pregnant (a couple months ago) I noticed this mole was getting darker and grew in size. Could you please have a look at the picture and tell me if you think I need to worry about this mole? it is quite a fair size - the same as it shows on the screen.

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with the picture attachment. A normal mole is solid tan, brown, dark brown or flesh colored with edges that are well-defined. It's usually smaller than 1/4 inch in diameter, has a round or oval shape and flat or dome-like.The main thing to look for is any change in a mole that you have or the appearance of a new mole.

It is recommended that you know the ABCDE rule of skin cancer.
A for asymmetry, B for border, C for color,  D for diameter and E for elevation. A mole that is assymetric, with edges that are blurry or jagged, changes in the color of a mole (including darkening, spread of color, loss of color, or the appearance of multiple colors) , size larger than 1/4 inch in diameter, and raised above the skin and has an uneven surface usually warrants a consultation with a doctor for further evaluation.

With your history of increased in size and changes in color, it is best to see your doctor to rule out such causes. Take care and keep us posted.
