Issue with finger

A few weeks ago I started developing a small callous appearing issue on my left hand pinky finger. It is about ¼ inch in length a millimeter deep, is sore to contact and has tiny black specs under the callous.

At first I tried filing and trimming it back with nail clippers but the callous is tenacious. I talked to someone who is a nurse and they indicated it appears to be some type of fungus and to soak it twice daily in apple cider vinegar for at least a month and/or until it goes away.

I have included a link to take a look and any advice would be appreciated as my next step is our family doctor.

So sorry about the slow response!  How did your doctor appointment go?  Did you get any answers?  Had you tried soaking in apple cider vinegar as advised?  Did that help at all?
It was a wart, which the doctor confrmed. I'm surprised as it does not appear like a sterotypical wart to me. The apple cider vinger soaked bandais I used for several days killed it.
Glad to hear that it's resolved!
