Itching all over

Hi, I've had a rash all over my body for 6 months now. It started out after we went camping back in February so we thought it was chiggers but then it wouldn't go away it started spreading, started on my legs, then my arms and now its all over my stomach, butt, and hands and just recently my nipples also started itching. i went to a doctor back in April and he told me it was Scabies but also said it was HIGHLY contagious and yet no one else has it. So i don't believe that's what it is. please??? help me!!??

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
First of all get a peripheral smear of blood done because the itchy rash started appearing after the camping trip. Then scabies also needs to be ruled out. Third possibility is of heat rash or sweat dermatitis. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

hi, i have a similar problem. i wish i knew what it was.

i cant ever see any bugs but i can feel them, especially when i try to wash them out of my hair or something.

from my research, theres been some sort of 'break out' of a parasite or bug that wasn't common
before last year. now, it seems its going to be an epademic before anyone even looks into it.

only one way to find out if its scabies, is if you can see one.
