Itchy brown circle shaped rashes on skin

They start getting itchy when it's too hot or when I walk long distances. When old ones fade, they leave white marks on my skin and new ones form again. This all started after I accidently put an expired fungal cream on my non-ithcy white rashes which I've had since I was a baby. After that, i had a bad breakout of red, scaly pentagon shaped patches all over and after consulting a dermatologist who didn't know the exact cause, I applied the cream he gave and the red patches calmed down. Now I get brown circular rash clusters. I went back to the doc again but he said that if the red patches are gone, it should be fine now. But its itchy and uncomfortable and I want to get rid of it. What could this be?
