Left hairy pit, lump developing, as though a bumper zit it brewing in a pore.

I'm getting off 5 days of prison food, followed by five days of flu virus. I may not have been drinking enough, noticed I was smelling bad in terms of what's been issuing from arm pits. I'm thinking I must have a gland in there and it's clogged up, my throat is a little sore still too.

Gotta work, hoping it's just a little sewer drainage issue, though I'd like a little more insight.

It was not anything to worry about in the end. The flu symptoms are now gone. The gland in the arm pit is still swollen a bit and tender, though Im no longer worried about it. Thanks for the advice, my response back was a little slow.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a boil or an infected lymph node. Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Your sore throat can be responsible for this.

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
