Lump under skin (upper right buttcheek) , red , hot, swelling - please help

Hi all,

Sorry about the TMI details. I’ve had this tiny lump under my skin (top of the butt cheek) since i was a kid. It moves when you touch, never hurt or grew. I just let it be.

Now (i’m 26), it suddenly flared up , hurts a lot, the skin around is all red and hot when you touch. And its swelling...any ideas?

It could certainly be a cyst that's gotten inflamed/infected.  I would see a doctor as soon as possible to alleviate the pain.  They might drain it, and they might think surgical removal is best.
