Mole Changes

Hello,

I have had what looks like a mole on the side of my scrotum for about a year to a year and a half. A few months ago it changed to a brownish red color and it has not changed. Is this something to be alarmed about at all? It very tiny but the changes concern me so would it be worth it to have it removed? Or would it be best to just leave it alone for now?

Hi,

Any changes in a mole's appearance be it shape or color may require an assessment. As you have  described it , it does not seem to suggest a problematic lesion. This may not be an urgent case, but I do understand your concern. A baseline evaluation will be able to help.

Avoid unnecessarily touching , scratching or manipulating the moles as this may irritate the skin. Use only mild and bland soaps in washing the area.

Hi,

It is slightly elevated

The borders of the mole are well defined

There is no palpable mass in the area

I have two that are similar in character in that they are raised moles but they are much darker then this one.

Hi,

Avoid manipulating the area. Prevent yourself from scratching or irritating it.

Just some questions:

Is the mole elevated or flat?

Are the borders irregular or well defined?

Any palpable mss in the groin area?

Any other moles in the body with similar character?

Do keep us posted with your answers.
