Nose swelling at end of nose- need help!

OK I need help,  doctors are stumped.  In Dec of 2018 I woke up one morning with the left side of my nose tip/ nostril swollen and red.   Thought it would go away.  It did not.  Then I came down with a very bad cold/ post nasal drip/ sinus infection.  Lasted for about a month on and off.  During this time my nose swelling did not go away despite dr. putting me on antiobiotics and an oral steroid.  In January the swelling continued to get worse and I had burning/ numbess/ tingling on the bridge of my nose and the swelling spread to the other side of my nose tip but not the nostril.  Intense burning one day on the right side of my nose- felt like it was on fire!  Strange whitish apprearance of skin looked like it was burned going along that side to the middle of the tip of my nose.  Went back to dr.'s put me back on antiobiotic and oral steroids.   Nose swelling seems to be better one day (but never nose back to normal) and the next day it is back very swollen.   During the time above in December I also noticed that my face and nose would  flush- get very swollen for no apprent reason.    This has gone away. No facial fushing.   I have never had rosacea in my life.  I am 42 years old.  I have been to ENT, family doctors, dermatologists, etc.  No one can figure out what is going on.   The last dermatologist said I might have a rare form of rosacea.  But my nose and skin aren't red and she prescribed me doxycycline 200mg a day.  One pill in am and one pill in pm.    Nose still isn't normal.  Tip is still swollen especially when I first get up.  Stuffy nostrils, post nasal drip, burning sensation in tip.   Last dr, also stated that my turbinates are very swollen.  And to make matters worse I was hit on the bridge of my nose in April which resulted in a nose bleed, black and blue eyes.  Trip to dr. and an xray- no broken bones and septum was not damaged.  BUT.... I am so confused.   Does this sound like rhinophyma even though I have never had rosacea before?  Or.....could the nose tip swelling be from an infection that won't go away?    Allergies?    Rhinitis was also mentioned.  I have been dealing with this for 6 months and it is not going away.  VERY fustrating.   Also mention that my nose hurts if I touch the tip or pinch it gently- the cartilage where it meets the bone really hurts.  THe bridge of my nose on either side also really hurts to the touch.   Does this happen with rhinophyma?    Any thoughts or opionions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance!  I just want to figure out what is going on it's been way too long with no clear answers or resolution.

Have you tried any other treatments for rosacea other then the doxycycline?  If it is rosacea, it can be hard to treat- and never really goes away- it's one of those conditions you just manage.  There are other options you can try to treat- things like laser therapy.  I'd encourage you to head back to the dermatologist that gave you the doxycycline- make sure they know it didn't help and work with them to explore other options.  I hope you feel better soon, this sounds miserable!
