Ok, I got a new mole and it really hurts, should I be worried?

I'm scared it might be skin cancer or something along those lines. my back was really hurting and I couldn't find a pimple or anything, I got my mother to check for me and she said she didnt' see a pimple, atleast not one that was near where my back was hurting. It feels like a sore mucsle or something but then sharp pains erupt. I looked again this moringing and realized that I had a new mole underneath another one I had, which is why I had not realized it before. I'm female and 21years old and have a history of moles and etc. I used to get worried, cause yeah they kinda bother you at first what with rubbing against cloths, but I got used to them. This one is differnt though. My freind said it looked really red around the edges and let me tell you it hurts! Also lately i've been feeling sick to my stomach having unusual cramps that don't feel like the ones you get at the time of month. I have also been feeling light headed which is normal for me sometimes but not like this. Its like I feel very worn down and dizzy. Any suggestions on what I should do? Should I wait to see if the pain goes away?

Hello,
New moles can develop at any stage of life and what is important is that if there are any changes which I have mentioned, then it should be immediately evaluated because melanoma has to be ruled out. Melanomas are usually >6 mm in size, with irregular borders ,asymmetrical and dark in color.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you! Yeah its recently gotten to really hurt and itch..gross I know. It even hurts to move at this point cause sharp pains erupt around the mark. Now I'm paranoid, can old moles change too? I mean I found another one, NEW, and its not the color they said it should be, and I was looking at one that appeared a few months ago me and my mother were concernted about, its missiphan, but now its changining colors. I am not usually so parnoid, maybe the pain is geting to me? OR just the fact that being at all sick scares me to death!

Well Merry Christmas!

Hello,
I don’t think so that your symptoms are related to the changes in the preexisting mole. However since there is pain and redness along the sides so you should get an evaluation done for a melanoma. If you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful. Otherwise it should be left as such.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Warm regards.
