Pimple on buttocks

Hi, i have a single blister/pimple on my buttock which is about 1 cm size. So initially i was worried that it might be herpes, i always practicsed safe sex. I went to my GP, and he told me that it is some terms i forgotten, he told me it is something like a pimple on the buttock. He gave me anti biotics and cream for it. After like 4 days of application, it dried, and form something like yellow crust with some black crust inside/in the middle.

I heard herpes occurs in cluster of blister and they are not that big to the extent of like 1 cm size. Could it be herpes?

I went swimming 2 days before i got the blister. could it be the water that causes it?

How are you?  Folliculitis is a skin infection localized to the hair follicles. It causes  small red bumps at the site of a hair follicle. At the top of the bump, there is usually a tiny blister filled with pus. These lesions occur in crops in the armpit, at the beard, on the neck or in the groin. The treatment of simple folliculitis involves applying moist heat, salt-water compresses and topical antibiotics. Usually the lesions heal and the skin is completely normal after a month or so.

On the other hand, Herpes tends to develop within 3-7 days of skin-to-skin contact with an infected person. They look like small blisters or ulcers that tend to be grouped into crops which may be tender or painful. The first herpes outbreak is usually the most painful, and the initial episode may last longer than later outbreaks. Some people develop other signs of herpes infection, particularly with the first episode.
such as: fever, muscle aches, headaches, painful urination or swollen and tender lymph glands in the groin. (http://www.emedicinehealth.com/genital_herpes/article_em.htm)
