Psoriasis suffer

Hey
I have been fighting psoriasis for over 10 years. I recently purchased a Narrowband UVB phototherapy machine in a quest to destroy this terrible chronic disease. After using it only once I had a lesion blister and burn pretty bad, I was so eager to start treatment that I didn't read the instructions. Five minutes later I thought that was enough ahah, oh man was it ever to much. Reading on I found out that a single treatment should only be 30 seconds with 10 second increases between days. Anyway I was just wondering how effective the UVB NB phototherapy is? I have never talked to a doctor about it and was wondering how long remissions last? I only have a mild form of Psoriasis with a few spots on my elbows and scalp but it has effected everything from relationships to day to day tasks for me. I want It gone!
Any insight will be greatly appreciated...
Thanks Evan

If you try the diet, give it a few months to see if there is improvement.  It must be followed 100% - no cheating!!!!  Good luck finding your answer!

thanks for answering!
I actually drastically changed my diet and life style about a your ago. everything form getting my vegetables to cutting any sort of junk food, I also started taking room temperature (almost cold) showers . Nothing really consistently worked, thats the problem with this disease. I have these flare ups every couple years, so I just dropped 1000$ on a new handheld phototherapy lamp from www.solarcsystems.com. But I will take your advice and do some research on this gluten free diet.
Thanks Evan

Hi Evan!  I know nothing about the phototherapy.  But my husband and my kids have psoriasis and all three got relief from a gluten free diet.  They went on the diet for other reasons and realized that their psoriasis was clearing up.  I looked it up and sure enough a certain percentage of psoriasis sufferers get relief from this diet.  I saw your question and thought I'd mention this, just in case you are one of the ones that will get relief from the diet.  Hope this helps.
