Raw cut inside my buttcrack that won't heal.

Hello. For the past month and a half I have had this really odd thing inside of my buttcrack right in the center. I seem to have this strange raw red cut that starts at my tailbone and ends right above my anus. The cut is on my skin. Last month inhad severe vaginal and anal itching that lasted for a good three weeks then went away. It has not reoccured since then. I still have this raw spot on the inside of my butt and it doesn't seem to want to go away. When I would wipe the cut would bleeed. I switched to softer toilet paper and since then the cut does not blows anymore but it's still there. I have no clue what it is and I hope someone can save me a trip to the doctor.

Hello,
From your symptoms the possibility of anal fistula or anal fissure needs to be ruled out. An anal fissure is a split in the anal skin and it feels like being cut with glass when you have your bowels open and afterwards. In that case, take warm sitz baths, smear some painkilling gel around the area  and avoid constipation. If the symptoms persist then glyceryl trinitrate ointment, Botox injections and surgery can be tried.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

hello. I know that I do not have an anal fissure or fistula becuase the open sore is located inside my gluteal cleft. it went away for three weeks and then the open sore re occured last week. currenty the open sore is gone but the skin inside my cleft is still a tiny bit pink. I wish i knew why this open sore goes away for three weeks then comes back then lasts for three days then goes away. I made a doctors appontment last week while I had the open sore but when it came time for my appointment the cut had healed up completly so i had to cancel my appointment becuase there would have been nothing for the docotr to see. I am going to keep monotoring this problem. hopefully the sore does not re occur again. if it does i will make a drs appointment again as soon as it re occurs in order to be seen before the cut heals again. like i said the cut is inbetween my gluteal cleft and my spin on the skin not inside or on my anus.

i noticed a painful little spot that look like a freckle or a birth mark on the lower inner pat of my bum chick, is located just couple of inches away from my bum hole, meaning when i try to wipe after using the toilet, toilet role will offten brush over it, which hurts a lot. the first time i noticed the pain i thought i had burnt myself while doing waxing. i couldn't see whatever it was due to the location. so i ask my boyfriend to use my mobile phone to take a picture for me. couple of weeks later the spot start cracking like a wall and became a lot more painful, even though is really small. i was cleaning and looking after it as much as i can, hoping is going to go away.  before i know it is become an open wound like or an ulcer. i went to the dr on 2 occasion, swabs was taking from the ulcer but all the lab test came back negative. is been 8 months now and ulcer is bigger than a pnney, is very painful, it keeps me awake at night, it made my life measurable. my dr prescribed antibiotic for me but this didn't help me. i was told they cant treat me further until they exactly what the unlcer is, i was told they will need to take a biopsy from the ulcer/wound but i have to wait for 4 weeks for an appointment. 4 weeks feels like forever to me, also biopsy is just another test. if anyone have ideas or remedy that i can use from home pls let me know.

Hello,
This raw crack can be due to pilonidal sinus infection also. It is a small pit or sinus in the sacral area at the very top of the crease between the buttocks. It may also be a deep tract, rather than a shallow depression, leading to a sinus that may contain hair. These can become infected and drain.

To confirm the diagnosis I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a surgeon.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Not able to come up with a solution, have had exactly what you discribe off and on for years. Like you it comes for no known reason then goes a while later, very sore and nothing seems to help much. Hope someone can help you and me, but it's good to know you aren't the only one with this problem.

I think I have a similar condition. About a year ago it started ... I have a high pain threshold so I didn't feel cut/scratched area and for about a week I thought i was bleeding from inside after wiping and seeing traces of blood on toilet paper. But then .. I took a selfie of my buttcrack and noticed the scratch and found the blood source. Like you, I have had this on and off and some times I feel like its gonna and then it surprises me... Sadly it takes a while to heal as we constantly sweat in that region. Or I do anyway. I'm going to try different medication to see if it works and if I find anything I'll keep you posted. I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one.

Herpes. It's really itchy then it pops and that's when you bleed a little and it becomes an ulcer that really hurts like a razor cut.

You need to put Vaseline on it it helps to form a barier on the skin helping it to heal it is some sort of bacteria wich is stoping it from healing

I had the same problem and I read somewhere that it is like athletes foot but on your butt crack. Antifungal cream works and yeast infection cream does too

This is typically a yeast overgrowth because it is often a damp area or sweaty area. Use nystatin and dry thoroughly .you can buy monistat cream otc.

I have had this same problem.  Because the cut is in a moist area it's going to be darn near impossible to make this go away on its own. What my doctor had me do was use some Neosporin and some gauze packed up against the cut to keep the area dry...in less than a week it was completely gone.

Hi, I also have the same problem. It's like a cut at the top of my buttcrack and it's been there for a while. Are you sure that neosporin and some gauze works? Did it ever come back to you?
