Recurring Boil on Chin

I have had this recurring boil appear 3-4 times in the same spot on my chin over the past 7 years. Not quite sure what the cause is and today I gave up in frustration after failing to get a an appointment with a Dermatologist. Any assistance with a home remedy in solving this would be appreciated.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a recurrent boil or a sebaceous cyst. Recurrent boils are found in diabetes, HIV infection, or other immune system disorders. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

you should go to the dermatologist to have them drain in and remove the sac that the boil forms in. Once that is removed than it shouldn't grow back.
