Red Itchy Rash

I have a really itchy red rash all over my face and a little behind my ears, on my neck and a little on my chest. I started noticing it about 2 days ago. I figured it'd go away but it is getting worse and it is very uncomfortable. I don't know what to do about it. I asked my cousin and she said it was hives/shingles?? But I don't know because I haven't ever had skin problems in my life and I'm 20. If you can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated!

Andrea

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes. If the symptoms persist then topical or oral steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
