Red Mark

Good Day!

I found this red mark on the right side of my hips while I was taking a shower. I was wondering if it's just "trapped" blood under the skin or blood clot, or if it's a stretch mark or a pigmentation. Is there something to be worried about?

Thank you, and God Bless you!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like a small bruise or trapped blood under the skin of hips. The blood under the skin which causes the discoloration of bruising should be totally reabsorbed by the body in three weeks or less.

If it persists then it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. This blood may need to be drained.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
