Red foot irritation - difficult to wear shoes

Not sure what this is if anyone might know. May not appear have shown up well in pictures, but feet are glowing red and painful all around tops, sides and back of feet.

Went to the podiatrist and they thought it might be contact dermatitis. Was prescribed a round of prednisone, but didn't help in the least.

Painful to wear shoes. Doesn't itch or anything. 78 years old and never ran into anything like this. Thanks for any insight!

Hello... that looks painful and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it.   Can you describe the type of pain you have?  Tingling, burning, etc??

You might try a dermatologist to see what the problem is.
