Red lump on outer palm near pinkie

Hi - I woke up yesterday with a red lump on the outer edge of my hand ( where pinkie meets hand, about) on my palm. It was extremely itchy. I scratched it, then it started to tingle painfully, and I've had it ever since. the area is small, and feels very hot - better today.  IT is a red tender lump, looks like a pimple, but no drainage. What is this???

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Welcome to the forum and I am really glad to help you out. It is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis without examination but it can be an insect bite. Apply calamine lotion or some mild steroid cream and also give some Benadryl( causes drowsiness) and Claritin.

If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist and get scabies ruled out.
I sincerely hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted on how you are doing. Warm regards.
