Red pimple like rash on backs of thighs, not itchy

For a few years now I've had red/purplish bumps/rash like appearance on the backs of my thighs. Every once in a while I get an even bigger bump that appears to be like a pimple that is sore..otherwise there are always red bumps..somewhat flat..maybe scarred. I do get pimples on my butt occasionally but the constant rash on my thighs seem different. I can't remember my thighs ever really itching from it either. I've read descriptions for various things but can't seem to find a condition that really fits. If it is maybe folliculitis or cellulitis (which seem to fit more)..what can I do to treat at home? I really can't afford a doctor's visit at the moment. I'm not sure if this could be related but just in the last few months..a patch of pimple like, itchy, painful bumps appeared on my upper back between the shoulder blades. I've never had back acne and it is confined to one area - any input greatly appreciated. Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
From the symptoms it sounds like folliculitis or infected hair follicle. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
