When I was very young I went face first into a coffee table and bit through both of my lips, two years after that I was hit in the face with a teeter-totter, since then it's been a battle to keep my lips smooth, they dry out, peel, are smooth for a day or two, and then it's a repeat. It's mostly the bottom one where my teeth went through the most. It's like a perfect print. (Dehydration, ASD+EDS, a little OCD, playing woodwinds, and a constant mask probably doesn't help). I'm allergic to lanolin and usually itch with cocoa butter, but I've tried carmex, burt's bees, a variety of other balms and chapstick, chopsaver, Medicine of the People's white sage, and various skin moisturizers. I assume I may be interfering too much and the problem may be too old to really fix but it's worth asking, does anyone have any ideas? I don't have the funds for cosmetic work and wouldn't spend it on such a thing if I did, frankly.
Thank you!
