Sebaceous Cyst on Penis

I am 21 year old male, and I have a small white bump on the underside of my penis which through research I have discovered it is a Sebaceous Cyst. It is firm, and is not sore at all. I understand it is healthy and could be left alone, but that is not an option for the sake of my self confidence. I have not gone to see a doctor yet, as I have heard there are ways to rid them at home, also I feel as if mine is smaller than the average one so this may be possible. I have not attempted to pop it as from what I've read is a terrible idea. I did try putting a warm cloth on it several times a week but I figured I didn't do it enough as usually I am too busy to sit for 20 minutes and do this in the middle of the day. I was doing more research, and from a combination of different things I read I was going to try doing a "procedure" of my own. I have this gel for warts called Compound W, which contains Salicylic acid, and I would apply it to exfolicate the skin. Step 2 would to squeeze out the contents inside, and maybe try and remove the hair follice if visible. Step 3, use rubbing alcohol (I know it will hurt) to prevent infection. The thing that I saw that would stop me from doing this is that I heard applying Salicylic acid to genital is a bad idea. This could be incredibly stupid, so I am hoping to hear from someone who has more knowledge in the area before I go through with this. I know surgery can be done, but it is the size of a small pea so that wouldn't be happening. If anyone could help me, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
In case of a sebaceous cyst, if it has not changed in shape and size, hence it looks like a harmless cyst. Generally no treatment is required for harmless cysts unless they change in size and shape or they become painful then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
