Skin cancer?

For a couple months now Ive had a persistent pink bump (that looks like a pimple) on my upper back. It hasn’t formed a whitehead by now, so I ruled it out being a pimple. I had my dermatologist check it out a few months ago upon discovering it and he said it looks like nothing and gave me a cortisone shot as a result. The shot did nothingg but flatten it out a bit, but now its raised again. The pink bump is painless and hasnt changed at all. Its even and symmetrical as well. It’s literally just a pink, shiny, raised bump that looks like a pimple. What could this be? Skin cancer??? Im nervous.

If it doesn't hurt, itch, and isn't changing in appearance- I wouldn't be overly nervous about it. Skin cancer is going to have other symptoms (like the pain, itching, changing).  That said, it's ok to give your doctor a call and let them know what happened with it returning and ask them to check it again, if it will help your nerves.
