Recommendations for exercise-induced cystic acne?

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to get some advice on a skin problem I've been having. I'm a 25 year old female and about 4 years ago I started really exercising for the first time. As soon as I started working out, my skin began breaking out with large, cystic, painful pimples that would appear anywhere from a few hours to a couple days after exercise. I went to two different dermatologists and both prescribed regular acne medications (topicals and minocycline) which did not help. When I finally made the connection to exercise, I stopped exercising completely and my skin completely cleared up. Every time I try mentioning the exercise thing to my doctor they say to just make sure I wash my face afterwards (trust me, I'm doing that!). So my current situation is that I haven't exercised in over a year because the acne was becoming too much to deal with. Exercise used to be a huge part of my life and I really miss it! Any help or advice would be appreciated. I am on birth control and have been since before all of this started, but I'm not taking any other medications currently.
