Skin wound care

About a week ago i got a skin wound on my forehead.  I used aloe vera leaf to help it heal and it seemed to do pretty good.  Currently, there is a slightly porous looking tissue formed over the wound.  The wound is still indented into my head so the tissue is not connected to the skin around the wound and the wound seems to be trying to heal and contract but it seems like the tissue is in the way.  I am wondering what exactly that tissue is, whether it is good or bad, and what to do?

Hello,
This sounds like granulation tissue which forms in healing of wound.Depending on the depth and severity of the wound,I would suggest that if it is a superficial wound then pls apply an antiseptic cream like Neosporin after clening the wound gently with Betadine and then leave it as such. However if you notice any pain, fever or any oozing of the wound then pls consult your doctor as the wound may be infected.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted.
