Small bruise on right shoulder blade

I have a small bruise on my right shoulder blade. It's about half a centimetre in diameter. It's purple round the outside and has a small red circle in the middle. It's not painful, swollen etc. It does not feel hard and it is not a lump, it's smooth with the skin and you only notice a slight difference to the touch if you run a finger over it very carefully. I've had this now for a few months and it doesn't seem to be changing at all. Colour and size are the same as far as I can remember. I think I got it by my skin being caught in my bag buckle and getting nipped. I spoke to my GP and she said it was bruising with a small hematoma, yet I have read that hematomas usually heal in a month for really big ones. What else could it be and why is it not healing? I have attached an image of the bruise.

It is best to get a dermoscopy to get a fairer idea though it does not look anything unusual.
