Dark deep red - brown flat spots on side of leg

Hi, I am a 27 years old female. Recently I scratched my leg and realized I had dark red / brown flat spots on. It looks like a rash but it’s not bumpy and it has not grown in size, but the spots are less red and darker in color no. They were itchy I would say for the first few days. I put cortisone cream, but it did not do anything. The spots are still there, but they are not itchy anymore. I noticed those spots a few days after coming back from a 3 week vacation where I tanned a lot.

Can anyone help? I also have pictures but I can’t post on here.
