Small pimple-like sore on inner thigh for months won't heal

Hello and thank you for your time. I have had a pimple like sore on my inner thigh for the better part of this year - at least 8 to 10 months I would guess. I think it may have started out as an ingrown hair or a pimple, but it clearly has not healed, and I will admit I have been picking at it off and on. My concern is that after getting a better look at it, using a camera and light, the color is pinkish, and it is probably about a quarter inch in diameter. It is a raised medium-sized bump,  and Looks very much like a swollen pimple with a small open sore/dimple on top. It will typically scab over, but I have been habitually picking it off, usually by scratching (I know this isn’t a good thing). Shining a light on it, there’s a little bit of crusty skin around the base diameter, but not much. Maybe some slightly lighter color skin ring around it, and when looking into the small, open sore area, there appears to be a shiny fluid like substance (maybe a sax or cyst). I can’t tell if it’s just a reflection. It doesn’t bleed or leak anything, and there is no pain unless I scratch the scab off. I guess I’m a little concerned of the location, but does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be? Any ideas on what caused this or what it might be?
