Small red spots, patches and inflamed skin by penile head and right below it

Hi,

So for the past 6 weeks I've had these small, not very raised discolored spots on the head of the penis and and a lot of redness on the ring just below the penis head. Definitely not sores or blisters. I had unprotected sex about 3 weeks before the symptoms started. Every so often the skin below the head will look shiny and peel eventually.
My scrotum is also very red and itches but there are are no raised spots
The spots dont hurt at all and the most I can describe it as it a mild itchy irritation of sorts
From looking on the forum I realized since I work out alot and have had to take 2 cycles of antibiotics in the time frame, so I might have a fungal infection. I started taking lotrimin AF for about a week and it looked like it was going to clear up but then I masturbated and it made the symptoms way worse again. Is it normal for a fungal infection to flare up like this from friction or masturbation, or should I go see a doctor?

It could be yeast, however, since you had unprotected sex- it's important that you be seen by a doctor for an exam and STD testing to ensure that you are diagnosed properly.

I saw a doctor and he seemed very adamant that it was not an STD
Did the doctor run any tests?  It's likely that it isn't, but regardless- if you had unprotected sex, I would still encourage you to do routine testing.  Did the doctor have any guesses on what it might be?
