Spreading Vitiligo

I have had vitiligo for a few years; however, in the past few years, it has not been widespread or that visible. Within the past few months, the spots have started spreading all along my face. This is making me feel very depressed, and I constantly use makeup to cover it up (I am a guy :(.).. At a very young age, it is very disheartening to have to do this.

I am transferring to a university that is 4 hours from home this upcoming fall, and I feel as though this skin condition will be impossible to deal with at college.

Is there anything I can do to cure the vitiligo or atleast stop it from spreading?

I have heard that sunlight causes vitiligo to spread faster. Is this true, and does it mean that going to college isn't a good idea?

Any tips will help. Just need some advice and guidance as I go to college with this depressing skin problem.

Thank you.
