Strange Birth Scar/Mark

I was born with this scar on my face and I'm curious to what it actually is and what its caused from?

Thank you for your reply but nevus spilus looks like its flat on top of the skin my birth mark has sunken little pits almost like boxcar scars hmm any other ideas?

That was the interesting part, in that there can be atrophic form too, albeit, rarely.

Do you happen to know what it's caused from by any chance?

These are birth malformations with undetermined etiology.
