Tear troughs

I have recently visited a dermatologist due to sevre dark circles under my eyes.  He has said that it is due to a tear trough deformity and has recommended either Colboxy or restlayne.  I am concerned about how safe these are, the injections of hte substances would be around my eyes and I am wondering how safe it is.  Could it cause vision problems,

I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream.

Any comments or experiences would be great.

Hi,

Kinetin is a cytokinen which is useful in cell division. It is used in many cosmetics for anti aging. Please discuss the same with your dermatologist before going in for any cosmetics.

i hope it helps. regards.

Hello,
Restylane contains hyaluronic acid and is injected in order to add volume to lips and lift up wrinkles and folds. My advice would be try firstly other methods for dark circles. Apply cool tea bags, an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth, or cucumber slices to your eyes daily. Apply an eye cream containing vitamin K and almond oil or skin creams containing vit C or K,alpha hydroxyl acids and kinetin.

If the symptoms persist then please get a second opinion from another dermatologist before going in for any filler injections.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
