Tinea Capitis and Minoxidil

I am a Minoxidil user.  I was having excellent results for six months.  Then I developed Tinea Capitis, a scalp fungus.  I was prescribed Griseofulvin Ultramicrosize with the warning it would take 4-8 weeks to clear up.  Can I continue using Minoxidil during this period or will that be counterproductive?

I have asked them. Not their speciality though. I'm getting advice everywhere I can. Can't get into a dermatologist until October.  Thanks!
