Very worried about thigh rash

about a 6 months ago i developed a condition on both thighs.  the right thigh is the primary problem.  i woke up in the middle of the night and felt and itch...not thinking, i scratched it.  went back to sleep.  the next morning i noticed a series of red bumps on my right and left thighs.  about 4 on the left and a larger area (about 2 in. in diameter) on the right.  Since then they have not itched and are not painful.  they were raised slightly but did not have any pus or fluid in them.  they redden after a shower but in the morning are less pronounced.  the right side has begun to heal...no longer bumps but still red patches (again esp. after a shower).  no new ones have shown up.  however, it's been a month and am worried...taking a long time to heal.  should note that i've been sweating excessively during sleep due to work/life stress (dont know if this matters).  i've been tested for all stds although the results havent come back as of yet.  have been worrying that it may be herpes or something.  my last sexual encounter was about a week before the rash/bumps (used protection but not protected oral sex).  there has been nothing on my genitals, no pain, burning, discharge or problems urinating.
i used hydrocorisone for 15 days it disappear after few days it re-appear, i used lot of creams could you please any one help me inthis.

I met doctor and he suggested me to test HSV2 IGM and IGG.
My results are  IGG Negative and IGM is positive
I am bit worried about it. I came to know from forum that The results of IGM may be false.
My doctors said you have herpes from long time you have to start using antiviral medicine for 15 days and retest for HSV2 IGM and IGG and let me know.
I explained him all the above post to him. For itching and rash he gave me one more tabletes and lotion and powder.

I am bit worried about my problem. IGM shows positive it mean I have herps  or it may come in future ?

At present I started using antiviral drugs for 15 days for Hsv2 retest and
Tablets, lotion and powder for rash.

Please help me

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to sweat dermatitis. Herpes does not persist for so long. The main treatment for sweat dermatitis is prevention. The best thing to consider is to prevent that portion of the body from sweating like by wearing light and cotton clothes, taking cool refreshing baths, maintaining the temperature in your homes and cars and avoiding strenuous activities.

If however sweat dermatitis occurs, then pls apply mild corticosteroid creams like dermacort or hydrocortisone or calamine lotion on the rashes. Another treatment option is the use of ultraviolet light or sunlamps under the guidance of a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
