Is there any other treatment for folliculitis in the Penile shaft?

So I'm a 17 year old male and recently I went to the doctors just yesterday to ask about the small bumps that I had at the bottom of my personal ile shaft and he said it was just folliculitis. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about however, he gave me a sheet to catch up on the information about it and the only treatment is putting a warm compress over it which is kind of difficult to do around the house with your family around.

I was wondering if their is any other treatment that I can use to help it go away. I do believe the cause was shaving improperly a long time ago and I no longer shaved since then. I have done some research but I can't tell what medication to use. I have a topical antifungal cream called Corticosteroids but inline they Sia fit doesn't do anything. I was wondering if there was any other ointment available to apply. This would really help out, thank you!

How long have you had this and how long have you been using the cream?  It can take a few weeks to clear up- it is important to keep the area clean, other wise it sounds like you are taking all the steps needed.  If the cream continues not to work, I'd give you doctor another call just to let them know that it's still an issue- they will have the best advice for other medications you can possibly use- it may need a prescription for an antibiotic if it doesn't clear.

I had this for a few months now but I did nothing about and the cream I had use doesn't really work since it's antifungal so the only treatment my doctor recommended me was to just out a warm compress but that gets a bit tricky.

Sorry for this, but I meant to say "on the Penile shaft" not inside. Hope this clears any confusions or worries!
