What causes wrinkled finger tips all the time?

I am a 27 yr old female and i have noticed that the skin on my fingertips is wrinkled all the time(like i just got out of the bath).  I noticed it several weeks age.  I don't think i am dehydrated.  I put lotion on everynight and have for many years.  What could be causing them to stay wrinkled?

I am a 52 yr old woman and all of a sudden, after a gel soak off and manicure, have wrinkled fingertips! More on the left than the right. I am healthy, post menapausal and have no thyroid issues...I do take citalopram, baby aspirin, Vit B12 on a daily basis but have for a long time. I drink water constantly and moisturize well. As I stated, this occured only after my manicure. It's been a week and no change. Wierd! Help?

Hello - have any of you had your iron levels checked? I have/had the wrinkled fingertips for almost a year (but wasn't really looking for a solution) which I assumed was dehydration associated with pregnancy (2nd) and breast feeding. I was just diagnosed with really severe iron deficiency, of which I will be on 3x a day iron therapy for a few years at least.

Well - 2 weeks into my iron and suddenly my wrinkled finger pads have plumped back out! Seeing as iron deficiency anemia is the most common mineral deficiency - maybe it is something to get looked at. It would stand to reason to get it checked for those who just had children or those with a restricted  or incomplete diet.

Good luck.

are your blisters wet or dry/ also if they are dry, are you able to see if there appears to be like a dead cell inside of the blister?

I have the same problem as well as my brother, he gets fluid filled blisters and I get dry blisters that appear to have a single cell inside of them, that brushes away after I pop the dry blister. then following the blisters, we both get wrinkly fingers. he gets it worse, I get it on a few fingers mostly on my left hand.

Yes, I have scleroderma and I have begun having the wrinkled finger pads. That was one of the first things my scleroderma specialist asked me: "Do you ever have wrinkled finger pads?" I didn't then, but now, 4 years later, I do.
