Why do I have tiny, flat, blood red spots on my skin?

I scratch these spots and they disappear but come back after about 5 seconds... Any clue what they could be?

Sounds patechiae to me. It can be due to viral infection or if you have low platelates. If you have too many patechiae out of nowhere I would suggest you to get your platelets checked. However if you've got only few then I wouldn't overly worry about them. Hope that helps.
