band aid mark

Not sure if I am in the right forum but here goes.  I had what I thought was a boil on my backside several weeks ago.  It got painful enough to where I had to switch pockets for my wallet.  I thought it was a big pimple at first so I was using benzoyl peroxide on it.  It didn't do anything so after searching the web I tried other things such as hydrocortizone and a drawing salve.  After a few weeks it finally went away but there is still a purple-ish circle where it was.  I was also using large band-aids on it and now I have this 4" x 3" band aid mark that has been there for weeks and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.  Any suggestions?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This mark due to band aids is not permanent and should go away with time. Just apply some good moisturizers or creams containing vitamin E.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi babes, i was once on pain patches which i had to wear for 3 days and they used to leave a mark but eventually in time they went, the longest mark was about a month before it started to fade. If this mark is not fading for a month and theres no open scar tissue then use BIO OIL its absolutely brilliant for scars, marks, pimples, anything like that really. Do hope you try it coz its brilliant. Look it up babes on the internet  bio-oil.com
