do I have a wart??

I have had an irritation on my knuckle for about two years now.  There is no large bump, but there is cracked dry skin, with little black/brown spots.  it seems to build skin and then peel off, like a calise.  it is usually redish.  do I have a wart? or is this some other skin disease?  how should i treat it?

any help is grateful

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like a plain wart. Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person.

Exactly what it is can be confirmed only after examination and biopsy. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I seen thoes on one of my ex's.they are planter warts.
they are contagous!!Dont peel them...anymore.Go to a store
where they have a pharmacy..and a big med isle.Get the wart remooval..
that blasts it in a case of cold ice or nitro G.Dont use that luquid crap..
or anything else.If you want to rid of it for good,go to a doctor and
have him or her..shock it off!!! planter warts..have the deepest roots,
and they can spread.Thoes spots are 'seeds' dont touch them!!
it thoes seeds gets into your or anyone elses skin..then you will or
they will get more and more of them.Thoes are nasty worts.
I had one on my finger from my EX.I had it 'shocked' off.
it hurts a bit,but all the roots and seeds die for good.
Get rid of it as soon as you can, thoes warts grow and grow..and
sometimes puts major pain in joints.
