hair fall

i m 24 male, i m suffering from diffuse hair loss, mainly in the vertex and frontal region, my father and his line of family dont suffer from any sort of alopecia, but my grandpa ( mother's side of the family) suffered from total alopecia around the same age of mine, whereas his son (my uncle) suffers from severe frontal alopecia  but most of his vertex and temporal are intact, my hair loss started coinciding with a pretty stressful event, at this point back then i thought it might be just telegon effluvium, but so far about 3 years have passed and my hair keeps falling (well it is in a plateau phase right now but declining slowly) so i think it may be androgenic alopecia, i made few tests like t3, t4, TSH, cbc, serum iron, TIBC but nothing out of the normal showed up, so far i went to two dermatologists, the first one prescribed minoxidil spray + pantogar for 6 months  (mentioned that mesotherapy and PRP are just hoax and assured me in a total hollow manner about myself), the second prescribed minoxidil spray+ Protecare (vitamin supplements) + Perfectil plus + PRP sessions, she added that since i have cases of alopecia in my family, it is inevitable to exclude the exertion of the genetic factor whereas even if it is not the primary cause, still it would be acting as a precipitating factor for any other agents like stress, she augmented that there will be no improvement, but my only current goal is just to retard the progress the of the genetic factor over time, meaning that i will have to use minoxidil for life! Well.. speaking for myself i do believe that minoxidil is a total failure and even so this may be controversial for its effect, still regarding the side effects it is not debatable, i ve tried many supplements and herbal lotions before and nothing changed, i lost hope but the PRP recaptured my interest, the effects are somehow deluding, some of the cases i saw improved pretty well (including alopecia areata) while others failed, the percentage of androgenic alopecia improvements is not pretty sufficient or even stable.. i m torn apart  trying to make my mind on one of the two prescribtions or might as well give up and the main question residing, is PRP worth it?
