hard knots in arm and vagina

I have small "knots" in my arm that feel like little bb's. They are hard and don't hurt. I just recently found a small hard knot of the same sort, deep in the vaginal canal and the endometrial layer just under the skin like the ones in my arm.
I did some research and people with similar bb-shaped knots in their arm received diagnosis such as lipomas or calcium deposits. I visited the school clinic and was told that the knots were lipomas but the new one in my vaginal lining seems suspect of something else. I tested for an abnormal pap a year ago and had a colcoscopy that came back negative...any clues or suggestions? Thanks

i,

Fordyce's spots, or Fordyce granules are small, painless, raised,
paleorwhite spots or bumps 1 to 3 mm in diameter that may appear on
thelabia.

Thespots are a form of ectopic sebaceous gland, and are not known
tobe associatedwith any disease or illness and are of cosmetic concern only.
Theyarenon-infectious and a natural occurrence on the body.

The pain is
likelytobe a simple infection, either of the hair follicles or the skin
glandsaroundthe vulva and vagina.

This is a not uncommon problem and is
easilyclearedup but I would suggest you see your GP for an antibiotic
prescription andacheck up rather than trying anything over the counter.

If
these bumps involve hair follicles then this may be follicultis .Folliculitis
presents as red bumps with pus in their centers and they usually involve the hair
follicles. They involve areas such as the groin, the chest ,the face and the
armpits or axilla. Other differentials may be a fungal infection of the
folliculitis type. Some fungal infections may present as bumps on the skin almost
like folliculitis.

If the bumps are found within the walls of the vagina near
the orifice or vaginal opening ,then a bartholin cyst may be considered. “A
Bartholin’s gland cyst is a swollen fluid-filled lump that develops from a
blockage of one of the Bartholin's glands, which are small glands located on each
side of the opening to the vagina."

Let us know if
you need any other
information and post us on how you are doing.

Regards.

Hello,
I am no medical person nor an expert but from own experience, I had little knotty bulges (or thought to be fatty cysts) in several areas (1 was in my arm under the elbow fleshy area & had been there for up to three years, which I had shown to every doc I had been to, as as leaving, "by the way...?'') and FINALLY, after some elevated levels on blood tests, achey feeling & maybe, now,  they don't think I am hypochondriac, and 'I am imagining'...just in November, a surgeon took off five--that was done a to get a biopsy/request for rheumy--well, one of those turned to be a skin cancer when it was sent off. Mine was not in privates, but I am still awaiting a prognosis for underlying reason & a diagnosis. My last three colonoscopies were with polyps & due another...Until the docs can decide, I am on Predisone, Gaberin & an antiviral...if you are birthing age, I would sure not let my female area go undone--especially after an abnormal return has been seen already. Plz be proactive--better safe than sorry. Good luck to you & say a prayer for me, too!  :-)
