help

Here is the situation. I had unprotected sex about 3 to 4 weeks ago for 4 random red spots on the shaft of my penis. I went to 2 doctors to see what it could be, and both of them said that it was not an STD. They proceeded to explain to me that if the spots were an STD the spots/legions would be raised or blistered. They also said that if i had an STD i would be experiencing a discharge and/or buring during urination. Now here is what i am experiencing....i keep having random chaffing/chapping/ashiness spots on the shaft of my penis. After the skin chaps/chaffes/ashes (dont know if that is the right term), it becomes raw/red like then it turns to a scabbed sore. They do not hurt or itch at all. As an added note when I say the random spots on my penis shaft is chapped/chaffed/ashy, it is similar to someone needing lotion on their skin. I am going to get a 3rd opinion when I get home. In the meantime, does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be? Just saw a 3rd doctor last night and got the same results. What worries me is that why would this only show up on the shaft of my penis only if its not an STD?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be chafing skin or lichen planus. It does not look like any STD. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes. Treatment is available only on prescription and consists mainly of steroids, retinoids, hydroquinone and phototherapy. I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Further clarification on my "help" post. The random spots keep increasing. now they are all over the shaft of my penis. they are very small and circular. They almost like like a ringworm would look on the skin except smaller. They are also ashy looking in nature. Any suggestions would help while i await a visit to the dermatologist. thanks in advance everyone
