Hi my friend has been complaining of a strange feeling in her lips. She also says that she thinks there is a lump in the top of her mouth but she has been to two doctors and a dentist and they can't find anything. She has to constantly apply lip-gloss to keep her lips moisturized  because it feels strange when she does not. Could you help me

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These sort of symptoms can be due to cheilitis, vitamin B deficiency, candida infection if there is a white coating on the lips and cold sores. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down. You need to get some investigations like sample from the sores to identify the virus, culture analysis, Tzanck smear, antigen and antibody studies and blood sampling for antibody studies done to confirm the diagnosis. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

this could be related to an overgrowth of yeast or candida.  You should cut sugar from your diet and try applying tea tree essential oil or tea tree lip balm.  If not, try rubbing a little everclear on it and dont touch it. The everclear will clear the infection.  Hope this works for ya.
