is this rash anything to worry about?

hi. im 19 years old and i am uncircumsized. i notice sometimes that i get a little redish rash/small bumps on my penis head and under my foreskin. they appear after i had sex with my girlfriend but didnt wash up after. is it just an irritant from the lube and vaginal juices and my juices being trapped under my foreskin. or could it be herpes from a past partner. my  girlfriend was a virgin.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

it generally goes away in a day after i clean up.

Hello,

First of all,pls don’t worrya s they don’t sound like herpes.Herpes presents with painful blisters that scab over.It can be folliculitis, contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub with clothes, dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic) or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis.

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can also use calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash. If the bumps are itchy, you  can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
