light patch on upper lip

See, I grow a bit of facial hair above my lip and I remove it no problem with waxing strips. The problem is, the skin just above my upper lip (where I wax it) appears lighter than the rest of the skin on my face.

It's normally temporary. Can you use concealer until it resolves to make it the normal color?  The perils of modern beauty products!
